April the Dog needs a home

Update 5/12/2016  I have exciting news…I went into a prison training program.  I graduated today.  I am now house trained, leash trained, crate trained, know all my basic obedience, be able to work on an agility course and can show you a few tricks too. 

My name is April and I came to the rescue after we were taken from a place called a hoarder.  Seventeen of us furry kids were taken away that day but I had brand new babies with me.  They didn't even have their eyes open yet so I had to protect them.  Well they are all gone now and I have just been waiting for a home of my own. 
 
I am over five years old and weigh about seven pounds.  I confess, I don't like children.  I like other dogs but a fairly quiet home. Also what many people find to be a deal breaker is my fear.  This causes me to bite at ankles of people walking away from me.  I am way to scared to do it to your face!  They call that being a chicken and I thought I was a dog.

I have been spay, vaccinated and microchipped.  The first step in adoption is to complete an application at www.dogsasfamily.org.  My adoption fee is 150.00.  I do want to be part of your family but it may take a little while for me to trust you and them I can love you forever.
